Spring Glen Schedule:
Saturday April 25th: The SGCA Board invites neighbors to join us at Best Video at 10am and we will head over to the Canal Trail for a group clean up effort of Connolly Parkway and then the trail from Connolly Parkway to Mather Street (the section of the trail between Spring Glen and Whitneyville).

Here are some suggested areas to cover for each day:
Friday, April 24th : Your own area of the neighborhood!
Saturday, April 25th: Leeder Hill Rd. and Waite St. area, as well as Mather and Treadwell, especially closer to Dixwell Ave.
Sunday, April 26th: Whitneyville commercial area and Putnam Ave 2-4pm (see below). Also, the Girl Scouts are going to clean up DeNicola park on this day! WCA thanks the Girl Scouts!
Members of the WCA Board will lead a cleanup of the commercial area and Putnam Ave. on Sunday, April 26 th from 2-4 pm. Join us then if you can. We will meet in the parking lot behind the BOE at 60 Putnam Ave. Garbage bags will be provided but please bring your own garden gloves, rakes and whatever else you might need. You can also round up neighbors and/or members of community groups you belong to in order to volunteer on any of the three days.
We have received permission to throw our garbage bags in the dumpster behind BOE (there are two, one for recyclables and one for garbage and please no hazardous waste!) or you can take your bags home and dispose in your own bin.

We will have a photo contest with winners randomly selected from the photos submitted after the event for local business gift cards. All neighbors and event participants are eligible to submit entries. (More details closer to the event.)
