As this map shows, Spring Glen is bounded on the east by the Hartford Turnpike from the junction of Waite Street, north to Skiff Street. On the south is Waite Street and Hartford Turnpike, west including Doren Avenue, to the bridge at Lake Whitney. The western boundary is Lake Whitney to the Mill River bridge on Skiff Street to the Hartford Turnpike.
Spring Glen is a quiet neighborhood of beautiful older homes, gardens, wooded streets, and small businesses. Located in the Town of Hamden, Connecticut, Spring Glen is conveniently close to Yale University, Quinnipiac University, downtown New Haven, and the Farmington Canal Bike Trail. The bike trail and the quiet Mill River separate it from the bustling Dixwell commercial area, but there is easy access to Dixwell Avenue, Route 15, and Whitney Avenue.
